18th Annual Spirit of Free Beer Nation’s Capital Homebrew Competition Results Saturday, May 15, 2010 Congratulations to FBI members Zacc and Lyle! The results from the Spirit of Free Beer are in. Zacc placed 1st in Category 5, Bock Beer with his "Rex-a-nator" Doppelbock. Lyle placed 2nd and 3rd in Category 4, Dark Lager. He placed 2nd with his "Ace of Spades" Schwarzbier, and 3rd with his "The Mother of All Beers" Schwarzbier. Lyle also place 1st and 2nd in Category 22, Smoke-Flavored/Wood-Aged beers. He placed 1st with his "Still Smokin!" Other Smoked Beer, and 2nd with his "MAshout Evenings" Classic Rauchbier. |
